माजी विजेत्या चेन्नई सुपर किंग्जवर १४ धावांनी मात करत राजस्थान रॉयल्सने चँपियन्स लीग टी-२० स्पर्धेच्या अंतिम फेरीत प्रवेश केला.
राजस्थानचे १६० धावांचे माफक आव्हान चेन्नईला पेलवले नाही. त्यांना आठ बाद १४५ धावा करता आल्या. मुंबईकर लेगस्पिनर प्रवीण तांबेची (४-०-१०-३) प्रभावी गोलंदाजीपुढे चेन्नईच्या फलंदाजांनी नांगी टाकली. तत्पूर्वी, आणखी एक मुंबईकर, सलामीवीर अजिंक्य रहाणेच्या (५६ चेंडूंत ७० धावा) सर्वोत्तम खेळीच्या जोरावर राजस्थानने निर्धारित २० षटकांत आठ बाद १५९ धावा केल्या. रहाणेने सहा चौकार आणि दोन षटकार ठोकले.
अष्टपैलू रविचंद्रन अश्विनने (२८ चेंडूंत ४६ धावा) फटकेबाजी करून सामन्यात रंगत आणण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. मात्र चेन्नईला विजय मिळवून देण्यात त्यालाही अपयश आले.
