नवी दिल्ली- देशात अशा काही संघटना आहेत, ज्यांचा देशाच्या स्वातंत्र चळवळीत काहीही सहभाग नव्हता, त्यांनी महात्मा गांधींनी चालवलेल्या ‘चले जाव’ चळवळीलाही विरोध केला होता, अशा शब्दांत काँग्रेस अध्यक्षा सोनिया गांधी यांनी बुधवारी राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघावर कडाडून हल्ला केला. त्या लोकसभेत बोलत होत्या.
स्वातंत्र चळवळीतील महत्त्वाचा भाग असणा-या ‘चले जाव’ चळवळीला बुधवारी ७५ वर्षे पूर्ण झाली त्यानिमित्त लोकसभेत विशेष सत्राचे आयोजन केले होते.
सोनिया म्हणाल्या, सध्या देशात द्वेषाचे आणि बदल्याचे राजकारण केले जात आहे. यामध्ये खुला संवाद आणि चर्चेला स्थान नाही, अशा शब्दांत त्यांनी भाजपवर निशाणा साधला. त्यामुळे आज धर्मनिरपेक्षता आणि अभिव्यक्ती धोक्यात आली आहे. यालाच विभाजनाचे राजकारण म्हणतात.
आपल्याला आपले स्वातंत्र्य टिकवायचे असेल तर आपल्याला अशा विरोधी शक्तींचा मुकाबला करायला हवा. स्वातंत्र्य चळवळीतील माजी पंतप्रधान जवाहरलाल नेहरू आणि इतर काँग्रेस नेत्यांविषयी बोलताना सोनिया म्हणाल्या की, स्वातंत्र्य चळवळीदरम्यान पंडित नेहरूंनी जीवनातील बरीच वर्षे तुरुंगात घालवली. इंग्रजांनी भारतातून निघून जावे यासाठी सुरू झालेल्या ‘चले जाव’ चळवळीदरम्यान, आंदोलकांवर अनेक अत्याचार झाले. मात्र तरीही ते मागे हटले नाहीत.
दुस-या महायुद्धावेळी ८ ऑगस्ट १९४२ रोजी हे आंदेलन सुरू झाले होते. अखिल भारतीय काँग्रेस समितीच्या मुंबई अधिवेशनात महात्मा गांधींनी हे आंदोलन सुरू केले होते. त्यानंतर गांधीजींच्या आवाहनानुसार देशभरात आंदोलने झाली.
